Currency Trading: The Majors

Monday, February 25th, 2008

In the Currency Trading business, currencies are obviously the most important asset. If you will notice on a typical Forex chart, you will see that currencies are grouped in pairs, using the format XXX/YYY (these are the international 3-letter codes for currencies). For example, EUR/USD is the price of the Euro expressed in US dollars. Stats show that over 80% of all currencies are traded against the USD, making the USD the currency that is being traded the most. The second most traded currency pairs is the Euro (EUR)., Then, the Pound Sterling (GBP). Then, the Japanese Yen (JPY). And finally, the Swiss Franc (CHF). Those five currencies are what are known as "The Majors".

MySpace for Filmmakers Explained

Monday, February 25th, 2008

MySpace for Filmmakers is a section for independent filmmakers to highlight their work, look for cast members, and more.

To sign up as a filmmaker, be sure you select the filmmakers tab, and then look for the signup link, otherwise you will end up with a regular profile.

Filmmaker profiles enjoy the same benefits as other MySpace users, and can be used to promote projects, just as music artists can upload their music to share.  It is a great tool for promotion, and can even serve as a website for the production company until it takes off well enough to afford a website of its own.

If you have a separate website for your production company, advertise it on MySpace, and advertise your MySpace on your website for increased views and traffic.

Our Gut And Vitamins

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Most vitamins we get from food, but some we actually make in our bodies with the help of bacteria! Vitamin K and biotin are the two vitamins we make in our intestines. That’s why it’s so important to maintain good intestinal health. People with some bowel diseases have problems making enough of these vitamins. In fact, when people have part of their bowel removed, because they suffer from cancer or crohns or ulcerative colitis, they may need to start taking biotin and vitamin K supplements, to make sure they don’t develop a deficiency in them.

Taking probiotics can have a secondary beneficial effect in people with their intestines intact, in that it restores the balance of good bacteria. If we have too much of the unhelpful bacteria, it makes it difficult to maintain a population of the good bacteria. Then there may also be a vitamin K and biotin deficiency.

Different businesses have different banking needs. However, if you are a limited business, you would be required to have your own business banking account. A number of banks specialize in business banking and do have attractive inaugural offers and interest rates. Business banking becomes a lot more simpler if your bank offers internet banking. What Is Not A Vitamin?

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

You know, online a lot of terms tend to get used interchangeably. This is true of vitamins as well, and it can get a little inaccurate. For example, you can almost define vitamins by listing what nutrients are not vitamin! This set of nutrients includes amino acids, antioxidants (although some vitamins are antioxidants - it’s just that not all antioxidants are vitamins). It also includes Phytochemicals like lutein, the carotenoids, essential fatty acids, and even minerals.

These nutrients are still pretty important for health. In fact, some like minerals, the amino acids, and even essential fatty acids, are, well, essential for health. They’re just not vitamins!

Using The Airlines As Teachers In Your Membership Site

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Have you noticed the way the airlines add value for customers - provided those customers are willing to pay that little bit extra. The budget airlines I think are the greatest teachers in this regard. They have a lower base price, or entry level price, for their flight tickets. This allows them to start building up loyalty with their customers, and to create a larger customer base. Then they have ways to reward existing customers - with frequent flyer programs. And they also cater to those customers who are cashed up and willing to pay that bit extra for premium services.

This is a great lesson for those with a membership site. By having a low entry level base membership, you create a pool from which to draw your premium customers. Not everyone will want the premium services - maybe they are out of budget, or it just doesn’t fit their current needs or priorities. But by having those offered, they are able to cater to different levels of customers, and increase their bottom line.

Using Joomla And A Video Tutorial To Make Your First $100 Online

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

The easiest way to make your first $100 online is to create a content site and monetize it with contextual advertising like adsense. The only skills it requires is the ability to do some research - for keywords and the content of the articles themselves, and some technical knowledge in putting up your site. And it is very cost effective too - with content management systems like Joomla, you don’t need to spend a fortune on HTML editors. And you get a site that is far and away better in terms of providing things like RSS feeds.

If you haven’t installed a content management system before, I highly recommend using a video tutorial. Joomla can be difficult to install and configure if you haven’t done anything like it before. Whilst it’s not hard once you’re shown what to do, getting over that initial hurdle often needs some help.
