It may sound surprising, but you can find free electric guitar lessons as close as your local library. Head to the library and look for books that go into detail about learning to play. Find books written by authoritative teachers and authors, so you’re sure you’re learning the correct techniques. Check out one or two books and get to work learning the material within. After you’ve had a chance to get everything from the books you have, go back for more. Look for various authors and artists to get a variety of techniques, as not everyone learns from every teacher.
