Had to Make My Own Envelopes
Last month I had absolutely loads of events and occasions to produce my handmade cards for; for example, my mother and sister both had their birthdays, my eldest brother and his wife had their silver wedding anniversary, plus three colleagues at work were retiring after long service! I had previously been given some plain card blanks without envelopes and so I thought I would make up the greeting cards, get them all nice and finished off, then just pop out to get some envelopes from my local craft store. Imagine my panic when I discovered that the card blanks were a none standard size and I couldn’t buy envelopes to fit. I could maybe have trimmed the blanks down, but unfortunately that was not an option once they had been decorated. In the end I dug out an old envelope template and was able to make just enough envelopes by hand to cover the cards I had made.
