Why I’m Glad I Didn’t Take An Acoustic Guitar Lesson In School
Once when I was a kid, my mom really wanted me to take music lessons. she was always trying to get me to play the trombone, but there was no way I was going to carry that thing to school every day. I was always in favor of taking an acoustic guitar lesson, as kids who carried guitars to school every day were considered super cool by most other kids, and naturally I wanted to be super cool. But my mom wouldn’t have any of it. I had to use my grandfather’s trombone, and study that hunk of unforgiving metal. I really felt foolish carrying that to school every day. But it came in handy, because the music room was on the second floor, and once the school caught on fire, and we were able to use my grandfather’s trombone to escape to safety.
