Soon, you may see the doctors and nurses, in the office that you frequent, using a much different stethoscope. Many doctors and nurses are now employing the use of electronic stethoscopes. Electronic stethoscopes are more expensive than traditional stethoscopes, but they are much better at detecting the sounds of the heart. They are better at finding heart murmurs and irregular heartbeats, so the benefits outweigh the higher cost.
