Unsecured Credit Cards – are the Right for You?

If you are in need of a credit “makeover” or improvement then one way to go about this is with a credit card, of which there are a large number of alternatives. The most cost-effective of these alternatives would be a secured credit card, but if your credit rating is poor then the chances of you getting a secured card are lower.

Apart from a prepaid credit card where you can pay up front to your own account before you use your card, you may wish to consider that of the unsecured credit cards as the prepaid card does not help to improve your credit rating or re-build a bad credit history.

There is a number of downsides to unsecured credit cards particularly if you suffer from poor credit ratings, when compared to both the secured type of card and even the pre-paid type.
