Graphic Designs and Sales

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Websites that are not filled with interesting graphics and informative content will not attract many visitors and this surely hampers your sales. Webstyle does not allow any manipulation of the graphic designs itself. This means that if you want the text in your graphic to be just that much more extruded, or the button to be a bit more curving then you will have to purchase the more elaborate Xara Webster and/or Xara 3D. Web designing is all about designing your web home /shoppe/conference place etc in the format which suits your personality or depicts your working atmosphere.

New trends in canvas art

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

There was a time when it was thought that the print industry is only restricted to paper. This further triggered to other medium like panaflex and now there are new trends used in this field. Canvas was one such medium which was considered as most suitable for oil paints only. This was really true up till a certain time. But with modern printing and software techniques this is possible now to get a print out of any digital photograph on canvas. This new canvas art really opened the new doors for print technology and it is now very easy to get a beautiful picture on canvas in very cheap rates contrary to the huge sky kissing rates of oil paintings on canvas.

Erotic Tattoos and Piercings

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Many sexual images stay with you when you see them. I know historical pictures depicting genital piercings and erotic tattoos still stay in my head to this day. There is just something about these disturbing images that you can’t shake no matter how hard you try. Erotic tattoos can cover every part of the body. Many cultures see this as right of passage. Body piercings go right along with tattoos and many young girls are actually harmed during some of these cultural rituals. I am glad that, living in America, I have the choice to get a piercing or tattoo, but it is not a requirement for womanhood.

My Feelings on the Batman Movies

Monday, August 11th, 2008

I have seen all of the batman movies up until the new one that has just come out, The Dark Knight. I have loved them all for different reasons. I loved Chris O’Donnel in one of the earlier movies playing Robin. I think he is an awesome actor. I also enjoyed seeing George Clooney playing Batman in one of the earlier Batman movies. I am looking forward to seeing Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker in the new Batman movie The Dark Knight. These movies help to bring back some of a person’s childhood as they remember watching the Batman cartoons and maybe dressing up as one of the characters for Halloween one year. These movies seem to bring people together to enjoy a small part of history.

Getting ready for a tattoooing session

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Pain is really a very relative element. The pain (in case of getting inked) comes from the cluster of needles pressing on your skin, on the tattooing machine. The needles go on rapidly piercing your skin while doing the tattoo designs. But you dont have to worry Soon enough your body will releases chemicals such as endorphins (which act as pain killers), which significantly dulls the pain or maybe makes the body a little numb

The amount of pain will depend on your psychological attitude  and how  tough you are.

A piece of warning : When going for a tattoo, you should not drink alcohol or take illegal drugs for pain relief purposes. Both these methods thin your blood and promote excessive bleeding.

Tabla - Dayan, the Small Drum

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

The dayan (which literally means "right" in India) is the smaller counterpart of the bigger bayan in the tabla ensemble – usually played with the dominant hand and most of the time, it’s coined as simply the ‘tabla’. Videsal wood is the best type of wood to work out with the dayan but because of the current scarcity of such timber, other materials are explored and used in its stead. Meanwhile, one of the primary tones on the tabla can be tuned to a specific note and this contributes and complements any melody. Although the tuning range the dayan allows is limited, different dayañ sizes produce various range of tones. For a dayañ to achieve harmony with the soloist, it will usually be necessary to tune it to the tonic, dominant or subdominant of the soloist’s key.

I Won An Art Contest.

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I have never really won anything in my whole life so when I found out that I won the contest that I entered a couple moths ago I was shocked. I entered an art contest and won in the category that I entered. It was the modern art category and it was a pastel drawing. I have always loved art and never really considered it to be more than just a hobby but now I am thinking about trying to sell some of my prints on consignment. After all if they are good enough to win prizes maybe they are good enough to sell too.

What is spirituality ?

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

What is spirituality ? Spirituality is Growth, Self awareness and Personal Development. When a person begins to strive to be more fully "human" certain qualities of awareness arise which, according to different mystical traditions, can be mapped. Spirituality is not like religion, it gives you the choice to choose what you want and what you want to be in this life and World.Of course certain qualities can arise spontaneously and (seemingly) randomly outside these traditions. These observations support the cognitive claims of the "mindful state" in Zen by showing an increase in functional awareness. The emotional strain of dealing with tough people and the spiritually devoid on a daily basis can at times be overwhelming. Often, our most powerful prayers are those offered from the heart, strictly between us and that whom we’re communing with.

Harps: Usage

Monday, July 14th, 2008

The harp is occasionaly used in ballads and most classical music as a special effect-such as the glissando, arpeggios, and bisbigliando; it’s commonly used on American pop music hits of the 1970s though. Italian and German opera use harps for romantic arias and dances-a sample of which is Musetta’s Waltz from La bohème. French composers such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel composed harp concertos and chamber music widely played today. In the 19th century, the French composer and harpist Nicolas-Charles Bochsa composed hundreds of pieces of all kinds (opera transcriptions, chamber music, concertos, operas, harp methods). Modern composers utilize the harp frequently, but while the pedals on a concert harp allow many sorts of non-diatonic scales and strange accidentals to be played-some modern pieces call for impractical pedal manipulations.

Techniques For Watercolor Paintings

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

There are six basic techniques that are often involved in watercolor paintings. First is the bands of color. This consists of single strokes of paint with a space and then a different color. The next technique is called thick n’ thin, which is exactly what it says. The stroke consists of a single line, but switching between thick and thin flows of paint. Another technique in watercolor paintings is often seen when there are branches on a tree or grass, it is called wrist flick. When you just press your brush against the paper, kind of making a splattering affect it is called the stab, this is another technique. An artist uses different techniques depending on what they are trying to express on the paper. Choose a technique of your own, or combine them to make a masterpiece.

Breast tattoos.

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

I know about a lady who wanted to get breast tattoos but was really hesitating. I mean, cmon, why would a lady bare her boob in front of a total stranger.

So, she asked her friend who is also a tattoo artist to do it for her. He is a male too but she trusts him a lot and is comfortable with him. She was also worried that it might hurt too much, but it really didnt hurt at all. It may sound strange. I was really thinking that a breast might hurt a lot , it should hurt a lot but it didnt.

Whatever the reason, but she finally got some really nice tattoo designs on her breast. Now, I am sure her husband is going to love her even more.

Will Asia’h Epperson show up at the American Idol finale?

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Rumor has it that Asia’h Epperson may boycott the American Idol finale. Seems that she feels she has been slighted when she was voted off. I can’t blame her either. She was obviously a much better singer than many of those that staid. Let’s face it, Asia’h Epperson Rocks! I was so sad to see her voted off, but now that she may boycott the finale, I think that’s great. American Idol has always let the good ones go early and it seems this time is no different. I’ll keep you posted on what Asia’h Epperson ends up doing on the American Idol finale week, I think it would be funny to see her not show up.

Why was Carly Smithson voted off of American Idol

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I was probably more stunned when Carly Smithson was voted off of American Idol than when Michael Johns was voted off. I mean, c’mon. She is one fantastic looking chic and one heck of a singer. I think America got it wrong when they voted Carly Smithson off of American Idol. Obviously she was the judge’s favorite also. And since they have way more experience picking winners than does the crowd, I’d say they were right when they wanted her to win American Idol. You can bet you haven’t seen the last of Carly Smithson. She’ll be a big star one day and everyone will look back and say "Darn, I wish I hadn’t voted for her to leave when she was on American Idol".

shoes!

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Dancewear shoes are often diffiult to come by, just as the outfits are sometimes hard to find.  Dancers often have to look all over for specific kinds of shoes, especially if the type of dancing that they are involve in is more rare in the area that they live in.  For example, if you live in a place like Kansas and you are a salsa dancer, you may need to know someone or special order the kinds of shoes that you need.  On the other hand, if you live in New York City or some other major city, you may be able to find what you need a lot more easy.  Dance shoes are not nearly as noticeable as the dancer’s outfit, but they are still an extremely important part of the dancer’s outfit.  For certain types of dance routines, you may need a shoe that has more traction while for a different style of dancing, you may need a shoe that provides less so that you have more freedom to slide and move around as you please.
