He does not think I am a complete loon after all!

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Dinner with the repairman got off to a slow start but my main goal was just not to embarrass myself anymore. Out of nowhere, he asked why I chose him over my ex. I was shocked by his forwardness but figured it was best to be very honest about it all. Besides, he has already seen me at my worst! I told him that when you get your ex back you pretty much know what you are going to get. I decided to go for the unknown and wanted to see what was behind “Door #2”. I chuckled and gave me a grin.

Imagine Two Perfect Beach Umbrellas!

Monday, November 24th, 2008

In my mind there are two perfect beach umbrellas. These Beach Umbrellas are unfortunately not produced in America or anywhere else, but hopefully they will soon. The first umbrella is roughly 57cm long, a tad longer than the basic design we all have used since youth, and has a very big circular cover. It is made out of titanium for the pole and water resistant material. The bottom handle is made of burnished wood with finger grips to make holding it at a sunny beach is very easy. As for colors, I’d love to see this design with multiple shades of gray and hints of black around the brim. The second beach umbrella I believe to be perfect is a very small model: less than 50cm that is more of a packable mini umbrella for easy access and storage. These are really handy when you are on the run for a quick time out on the coast and need some shade. It would not be as sleek as the first umbrella, but instead will just be solid navy with a gunmetal handle. It’s just very clean and modern.

Tutoring Shines Above Standard Education

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Tutors used to be quite in vogue a few years back & they are now making a comeback, as a viable & necessary part of the choices for education from which a parent can choose for the study method of their children. The one on one attention is cool.

The students in your care will get the best possible education & knowledge when they have the access to the type of one on one spotlighting that only an individual tutoring service can give. Better than the public system of training, as well as infinitely safer, you will be able to help them more through tutoring than almost any other method of enlightenment.

Who doesn’t love weddings?

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

I just love weddings. Who doesn’t really? Except maybe for men. Or maybe those who have already been married with no success. Other than that, I think most people really enjoy going to a beautiful wedding and watching two people recite vows to one another. It’s still such a sacred ceremony and should be celebrated with much happiness. I especially like those wedding reception favors that you often get to take home with you. It’s nice to have little reminders of the special day between the wedded couple. I have kept many from all of the weddings that I have been invited to.

Time To Take a Vacation

Monday, November 17th, 2008

Lately my wife and I have been thinking about going to Africa to visit some friends from college. We all went to college together, but two of our friends got married and went to live in Africa. They have a business down there manufacturing Breyer Model Horses, but this is a different style that they have come up with so they are quite successful. They have invited us numerous times to come and visit them, but we have never had neither the time or the money for a trip like this. This past month I got a pretty good raise so we might be able to make it happen this year.

Know if You are Safe - XoftSpySE

Monday, November 17th, 2008

If you use XoftSpySE on your computer, you should know that they afford you not only a lot of protection, but peace of mind.  You might wonder how they give you peace of mind.  Well, for one thing, when you go out on the web, you do not have to worry as much about having your identity stolen.  This is because they protect you from malicious attacks from programs that will upload themselves onto your computer.  Because of this protection, you have more freedom to surf the web and choose programs you want to download.  This program will let you know if what you are downloading is safe.

Self Help MP3 Downloads

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

There are some excellent self help MP3 audio downloads to be found online. I have recently discovered these brainwave entrainment audios.

Brainwave entrainment is a sound technology by which your brain’s electronic pulses are coaxed into a new rhythm. So for example if you are stressed out you can listen to a brainwave entrainment audio and it will calm you down. It does it by relaxing your brain’s pulses into an alpha rhythm.

It can also be used for other states such as if you are depressed or lacking in energy or for ADHD and other things. You just listen to the audio that was made for that partiicular state and it brings you out ot it.

It really works. You can check it out here:brainwave entrainment.

Survey Scout

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Want to make some money from the comfort of your own home?  Then Survey Scout is the answer!  If you think you could fill out a simple survey, participate in a simple focus group, try new products (that you may be able to keep), secret shop, and more then you can work for the big companies.  These big companies will pay you to participate in these programs.  They need input from people like you and me so that they know what our shopping habits are.  And they can pay pretty good.  You can make anywhere from $20 to $75 a survey.  And that’s pretty good money for a few minutes of your time.

Portland Animal Control Service Does The Job

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

If you have ever had the experience of dealing with an opossum, then you know what a nuisance they can be. They are scavengers and they are also nocturnal animals, so they do most of their moving at night. I had one that was visiting my trash cans every night. Not only was it getting into the trash and making a mess, it was also causing a disruption with my pet dogs. They would start barking every time the opossum came. I finally got tired of it and called Portland animal control for assistance. They were able to trap the opossum and now I am not having any more issues with wildlife.

Looking for a guy with tattoos

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

I really love guys with tattoos. I think it is so sexy. I am trying to find a good place to meet other tattooed singles. Can anyone recommend a good website where I can do this? I am tired of guys that just want to hook up though, I really want to meet someone that wants a long term, committed relationship. I am hoping I can find someone on the internet since I haven’t had any luck meeting anyone I like around where I live on my own. There seem to be too many conservative guys that don’t like tattoos.

Understanding Yoga.

Friday, November 14th, 2008

There are many ways to learn yoga and one way you can do this is to use Yoga DVDs in the comfort of your own home. This way you can get familiar with the exercises without being embarrassed in a class. Yoga has a deep and interesting history that has roots in Indian philosophy.  Yoga in many ways is more of a science than an exercise. Yoga history in actual fact dates back around five thousand years. Yoga incorporates both physical exercise and breathing exercises providing you with a more holistic approach to health. Remember the key point is to learn how to relax. And this in and of itself provides many health benefits.

Replacing Crowns

Friday, November 14th, 2008

The bad thing about having a lot of crowns on your teeth is that eventually, and some say, inevitably, they will chip, crack, or fall off.  That is why I had to go back to one of the dentists in my town.  I had lost some crowns.  It was an easy enough job to fix, though.  All crowns are made of is a special type of epoxy that blends in with the tooth.  The dentist lets it harden and then shapes it to match the other teeth using a drill or dremel tool.  It is a pretty pain free process, and that made me happy.

Divorce: Try To Make The Best Of A Bad Situation.

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Although I’ve never had the experience myself, I’ve known a few people who’ve gone through the rigors of a divorce.

I call them rigors for what they are. Divorce for men and for women is never easy; nor is it commonly without complication.

For whatever the reason(s), divorce brings out the raw emotions in people.

In short, making the best of a bad situation should be the mandate for all divorces.

For example a co-worker of mine who, during his divorce negotiations, insisted on including 10% of every child support payment go toward a college or secondary education fund.

The judge was very impressed with this and awarded it handily.

Marvelous Talent - Il Devo Concerts

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Il Devo is a group of four talented male vocalists that formed the group with the help of Simon Cowell back 2004.  They sing beautifully romantic operatic pop music from different eras.  Their voices mesh wonderfully between the baritone of Carlos Marin, the tenor voices of David Miller and Urs Buhler, and the fine voice of Sebastial Izambard.  Their concerts are sold out world wide.  Their 2009 tour will start in the UK in February.  Watch for tickets to go on sale because IL Devo Tickets are hard to come by once the concert is set and in place.  Make sure to get yours early so you are guaranteed a seat to witness this marvelous talent.
