Aspirin To Prevent An Enlarged Prostate Gland

If you are over the age of 40 then there is a good chance that, if you have not already done so, you will develop an enlarged prostate gland. Now this condition, which is referred to in medical terms as benign prostatic hyperplasia, is not generally serious but can produce some inconvenient if not irritating symptoms such as a variety of problems with urination. Now there are of course several courses of action which you can follow to help to ease these problems but one of the simplest and most effective is to take a daily non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as the humble aspirin. Studies show that this can reduce prostate enlargement by as much as half and reduce moderate to severe urinary problems by as much as one third.
