How to understant the dog food label.
We all have been there, with the dog or cat food bag in our hands, looking at the food label, and having no idea of what it means. Reality is that the pet food label is not easy to understand, and dog food manufacturers may not want it to be easy. Whether the pet owner buy the dog or cat food at a grocery store, pet superstore or over the internet, by law every dog food bag or can have to have a label on it. Every pet owner should be familiar with the five basic pieces of information on the labels: ingredients, feeding guidelines, manufacturer’s information, guaranteed analysis and nutritional adequacy statement.
