MySpace for Filmmakers is a section for independent filmmakers to highlight their work, look for cast members, and more.
To sign up as a filmmaker, be sure you select the filmmakers tab, and then look for the signup link, otherwise you will end up with a regular profile.
Filmmaker profiles enjoy the same benefits as other MySpace users, and can be used to promote projects, just as music artists can upload their music to share. It is a great tool for promotion, and can even serve as a website for the production company until it takes off well enough to afford a website of its own.
If you have a separate website for your production company, advertise it on MySpace, and advertise your MySpace on your website for increased views and traffic.
