Titanic conspiracy theories
Most people are aware of the events that led to the sinking of the Titanic. However, there are many who have conspiracy theories about why this so -called ‘unsinkable’ ship actually sunk. Robert Gardner put forth a theory in his book title “Titanic: the ship that never sank”. Gardner claimed that the ship that sank was not the Titanic, but actually its sister ships the Olympic. He went on to claim that the titanic was disguised as its sister ship for the purpose of an insurance scam.
The author suggests that the plan was to collect insurance money by disposing of the Olympic. His theory states that the Titanic did not strike an iceberg, but actually struck a rescue ship, he believes that an iceberg could not inflict the damage it supposedly did to a vessel such as the Titanic.
