Law Research

Researching state court cases is a long, tedious process.  Going to a local library is a good start if you want to actually look up case briefs in a book.  The major ones will most likely be available online.  More in-depth analysis requires going beyond these listings, though.  Say you wanted to do a Chicago, IL court records search to do a background check on the defendant in a case.  There are resources online, like illinois-courtrecords.com, which will allow you to get ahold of that information.  It may charge you a registration fee, but it will certainly bolster the quality of your case analysis.
