Daytrip to the Hoover Dam
Just 35 miles or so from Las Vegas is one of the seven manmade wonders of the world: the Hoover Dam. This is an engineering marvel, and the tallest structure of its kind in the world. Built in the 1930s, the dam has become a very popular tourist attraction over the past decades, drawing more than 7 million people each year.
